Experiment in the live Playground. Inspect captures, explore token explanations, and save useful patterns on your device.

Make every character count

Try 24 regex golf challenges and a daily rotating puzzle. Find a working solution, then see how short you can make it.

Bring the reference with you

Look up regex tokens and try their examples. Export supported Swift, Kotlin, JavaScript, and Python snippets with regex-engine differences called out.

Can I download Regexcellent yet?

Regexcellent is preparing for launch on iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Android. Official download links will appear here when it is available.

Do I need an account or internet connection?

No. The lessons, challenges, reference, and regex engine are included in the app. Your learning and practice work offline.

Are any lessons behind a paywall?

All lessons and features in the current app are free. There are no ads, purchases, or subscriptions.

Does my progress sync between devices?

No. Progress, saved patterns, preferences, and unfinished Playground work stay on your device. There is no cloud sync.

Will an exported pattern work in another language?

Regex engines differ. Code export warns about differences and may refuse unsupported translations. Always test exported snippets with your real input.
